Module 2 From Leading to Listening
Module 2 From Leading to Listening
Making the difference in challenging conversations.
One of the success factors for employee well-being, collaborative teams and customer relations is the empathy factor—the ability to listen and understand what really matters. The words ‘I understand you’ do not always stand true. To really understand and connect with someone, the skill of empathy and listening ‘behind’ the words is needed. With this different kind of focus, dialogues take place in which the other person experiences being heard and understood as well as more openness and calm. Being able to listen empathically is the ‘oil in the dialogue’ and the basis for safe team settings.
Module 2 is part of the “Intensive for Professionals.” With this most popular training you register for all three modules at once and receive a €250 discount.
Components of this training:
- The power of empathic listening in challenging conversations
- Addressing each other in connecting ways
- Transform opinions into creative solutions
- Get to the point faster by connecting with underlying motivations
- Creating mutual respect
- Receiving confronting feedback in a calm, self-confident way
Why this Training
Listening and responding empathically helps you to engage with powerful dialogue skills in which the needs, values and interests of colleagues and customers come to the surface. You learn to recognize the feelings and needs behind the words and jump on the metaphorical ‘surfboard’ of those who are speaking. You ‘surf’ along with them, being with what is going on moment by moment. This minimizes miscommunication while ensuring understanding, clarity and connection in your contact with others.
